The practice
Tahtouh Tax was founded by Roy Tahtouh on a simple idea: good tax and accounting work starts with actually understanding your situation. The work begins with understanding your needs and agreeing on scope and fees before anything starts.
The approach doesn’t change from there — listen first, keep the books and records organized through the year, and explain the numbers in plain language so the decisions stay yours to make.
Meet Roy Tahtouh
CPA, Founder
Roy founded Tahtouh Tax to bring large-firm tax experience and personal attention to individuals and small businesses. His background spans public accounting and SEC financial reporting, with experience in partnership, corporate, and international tax returns. He helps clients navigate rental income, investments, K-1s, multistate filings, and business taxes with clear, practical guidance.
- Education: Master of Science in Accountancy and B.B.A. in Accounting, University of Houston.
- License: Licensed CPA in Texas (122131).
- Experience: Began his tax career at BDO USA, worked in SEC financial reporting for a publicly traded company, and most recently served as a Tax Manager at Deloitte Tax LLP in Houston, reviewing returns and mentoring newer accountants.
- Professional Membership: Texas Society of CPAs.
- Languages: English, Arabic, and French.
